Mr. Lightner

I grew up a couple of miles southwest of Inman and was very involved with several organizations and extracurricular activities such as FFA, Scholar’s Bowl, National Honor Society, Basketball and Track.  I graduated in 2002 and attended Tabor College graduating in 2006 with BA in Mathematics.  I participated in Tabor’s Track and Field program for all four years competing in the 110 hurdles, 400 hurdles, 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays and long jump.  Highlights of my collegiate career are setting the school record in the 400 hurdles and qualifying for the NAIA National Track Meet in both hurdle races and the 4x400.

I am beginning my sixth year of teaching and am looking forward to it with great anticipation.  I taught my first three years at Cimarron High School in Western Kansas and had a great experience there.  Desiring to move closer to home, family, and friends, I took this position at PBHS and have enjoyed getting to know all my students and the experiences they have provided.  Currently I am the assistant high school girls basketball coach, assistant junior high track coach and head high school track and field coach.
