High School Science Class Schedule 2009-2010

                           1st & 5th Hour; Chemistry

                                       Chemistry is an upper level course that will give the student a solid                                        foundation of all future high school and college science classes.                                          The course will   include many hands-on labs to enrich the topics                                          covered in the text. The topics include measurement, periodic table,                                        atomic theory, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, gas laws, solution chemistry, and acid/base reactions. The ability to solve problems through simple mathematical relationships is a skill that each student will master and be able to apply to other courses. All materials covered are based up the standards set by the state of Kansas.

3rd & 7th Hour; Biology

The students will study the scientific method; basic chemistry; life processes at the cellular level, organism, and ecological levels; genetics; and diversity of organisms. The student will encounter lecture, lab, and group experiences. All material covered are based upon the standards set by the state of Kansas.

6th Hour; Environmental (Fall)

6th Hour; A & P (Spring)
