OREO
Our class pet!!

Our dear friend Oreo died on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.  We have had many memories with Oreo and will miss her very much.

One memory that Mrs. Retzlaff has of Oreo is that every morning Oreo would squeak good morning when she came in the door. That, and Oreo thought that she was always hungry.

Kalleigh’s memory of Oreo is that sometimes Oreo thought students’ fingers were carrots.  So some students’ ended up with Oreo nibbling on them.

Derik’s memory of Oreo is that she was the best pet that the class ever had.

Paige’s memory of Oreo is that Oreo was very soft and that Oreo liked to cuddle.

Mallory’s memory of Oreo is that when Oreo squeaked it made everybody laugh.

Samantha’s memory of Oreo is that the first time Samantha went to feed her, Oreo was so excited that Oreo tried to bite Samantha’s fingers.

Raegan’s memory of Oreo is that when we allowed Oreo out of her cage, she always ran to where she wasn’t suppose to be.

Dylon’s memory of Oreo is that Oreo would often nibble on Dylon’s finger when he would visit Oreo in her cage.

Alex’s memory of Oreo is that Oreo was very soft.

Ashley’s memory of Oreo is that when Ashley would walk by Oreo’s cage, Oreo would think that Ashley needed to stop and take the time to pet her.

Katie’s memory of Oreo is that when the class first met Oreo and called to Oreo, Oreo ran to Mrs. Retzlaff and sometimes tried to crawl up Mrs. Retzlaff’s leg because Oreo didn’t know the  class yet.

Anna’s memory is that when the class found out they had a class pet, they were all very excited.

Thomas’s memory of Oreo is that Oreo was always very playful.

Tony’s memory is that Oreo became very friendly to the class especially when they fed her.

Samantha also remembers that Oreo would squeak at the class when they got to noisy.  As if to tell the class to quiet down.

Reagan also remembers that Oreo would tattle on Mrs. Retzlaff when Mrs. Retzlaff would walk by.

Katie also remembers that Oreo would tattle on the student that forgot to feed her.

Everyone is going to miss Oreo, but especially Mrs. Retzlaff.  Mrs. Retzlaff got Oreo when Oreo was 3 weeks old and Oreo would have been 4 years old on June 30, 2009.  The students’ never understood why Oreo would always run to Mrs. Retzlaff when Oreo heard Mrs. Retzlaff talk, but Mrs. Retzlaff became Oreo’s mom and Mr. and Mrs. Retzlaff treated Oreo as if it were their own child.
