Description:  Collegebound students should take this junior English course.  It focuses on preparing students for college using American Literature and its major themes and trends.  This will be accomplished through writing a research/term paper and reading short stories, novels and dramas.  A review of reading comprehension skills, other literary state standards, and persuasive writing for the state assessments will be covered to prepare students for college level reading and writing.
