Description: Entrepreneurship is a course
designed for those students who wish to explore the personal characteristics
and resources needed to profitably start and run a business. It will cover the concept of entrepreneurship
and the importance of small businesses within our free enterprise system. The students will be exposed to the basics of
planning, organizing, financing, starting, operating, and managing a small
business venture.

Method of
Teaching:
Presentation of the lecture material is taught via the use of a computer and
television utilizing powerpoint software. Students also use powerpoint
to create presentations throughout the curriculum. Activities and projects are completed on an
individual and group basis. Internet and
technology skills are incorporated into the curriculum.
Grading
Method: Students are
graded on both individual work and group activities along with the business
plans presented. Students will be
assessed by written tests and hand-on activities. Students in business classes will utilize the
district grading scale.
