The following are skills kindergarteners should know by the end of each  nine weeks:

First Nine Weeks Skills

· Can make and recognize an AB pattern

· Recognizes the numbers 0-10

· Can match a number 0-10 with the correct group of objects

· Can tell if an event is possible or impossible

Second Nine Weeks Skills

· Knows phone number

· Recognizes a half and a whole

· Can solve simple addition problems using manipulatives

· Can idenfity and create AB, ABC, AAB patterns

· Identifies these shapes:  circle, triangle, square, rectangle, ellipse

· Can order objects from shortest to longest

· Can skip count by 10s

 

 

Third Nine Weeks Skills

· Can identify 0-10 objects verbally

· Can identify a penny and dime and tell their values

· Can solve simple subtraction problems using numbers 0-10 using manipulatives.

Fourth Nine Weeks Skills

· Can write number to 20 in and out of order

· Can tell time to the hour.
